When You Can’t Dream (NaPoWriMo (10/30)

Last night

all my dreams

were jumbled

Woke up

in a state

of confusion

Slept again

and still…

I was unaware

of the content

of these fuzzy

remnants of vision

Could it be

a manifestation

of bipolar

mixed states?

Maybe yet

another

situation

where my

mind was

too fragile

to see clearly

I am not

engaging

well with

lack of

stimulation

Too much distance

between me and

my light

Too little space

between me and

my shadows

Imaginings

pervaded by

deficiency

of clarity

Sickness

and the fear

of fever

manifests

sadness

and paranoia

No longer

chalked up

to one

mental

health

diagnosis

To be bipolar

in a scattered world

is to be a compass

Demagnetized

and without

a clear direction

out of melancholy
